The Role
At Medline, we’re committed to creating a safe, healthy and sustainable workplace for every employee — and we’re looking for an EHS Specialist who thrives on partnering with people, influencing outcomes, and embedding a proactive safety culture. As our Environment, Health & Safety Specialist, you will be the go‑to expert and trusted advisor for all things safety and environment across our ANZ operations. You will partner closely with leaders, site representatives and cross‑functional teams to design, implement and continuously improve our EHS frameworks.

Partnering & Influence
Act as a trusted partner to managers and site teams, providing expert advice and coaching on EHS requirements, responsibilities and best practice.
Build strong relationships across the business to drive engagement, ownership and accountability for safety and environmental performance.
Influence leaders with compelling insights, data and recommendations that support strategic decision‑making.
Operational Leadership
Promote a proactive physical and psychological safety culture across all sites - this includes multiple Warehouses, a Manufacturing facility and Head Office.
Lead risk identification, assessments, incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct regular site inspections and work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Deliver training, toolbox talks and capability‑building activities to uplift EHS competence across the organisation.
Strategy, Systems & Compliance
Develop and implement policies, procedures and programs aligned with legislation and industry standards.
Support environmental monitoring, sustainability initiatives and EMS processes including ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO9001.
Ensure third‑party contractors and suppliers meet required EHS obligations.
Liaise with regulators as required and ensure compliance across all states and territories.
Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
Tertiary qualification in OHS, Environmental Science, Quality Management or similar.
Demonstrated experience advising and leading EHS within construction, manufacturing or industrial environments.
Working knowledge of ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO9001.
Exceptional communication skills — able to adapt to your audience and build authentic relationships.
The courage to raise issues, the resilience to keep driving improvement, and the influencing skills to bring others on the journey.
